COTSEN Foundation

Jackie Robinson Academy was recently awarded a grant from the Cotsen Foundation in order to transform our writing practices.  Elementary and middle school teachers have been working collaboratively to align writing instruction by co-planning units and calibrating the evaluation and assessment of student writing. 

Mission: The mission of the Cotsen Foundation for the ART of TEACHING is to transform good teachers into great teachers. This transformation occurs through a program in which proven educators receive coaching and mentoring to achieve the highest levels of teaching excellence.
